Youth Baseball Cleats for Flat Feet: 6 Molded Cleats Checked (2026)

No source we read says any baseball cleat treats or suits flat feet. The NHS says most children have flat feet when they’re young and that nothing needs doing if they cause no problems. We list six molded youth cleats, $32.00 to $55.00 on October 10, 2026, with what the makers and listings state and what they don’t. We haven’t tested any cleat, and this isn’t medical advice.
Parents searching for youth baseball cleats for flat feet find some roundups that call cleats supportive without naming a source. We looked at what health bodies say about children’s flat feet, then at what each cleat’s maker or listing actually states about midsole, outsole and insole.
For general picks, see our youth baseball cleats guide.
- →The NHS says most children have flat feet when young, and arches usually develop between 3 and 10 years of age. Other sources give different ages.
- →The NHS says insoles won’t change the shape of the feet but can help with pain or stiffness. A Cochrane review found low to very low certainty evidence on orthoses for children’s flat feet.
- →No maker page we could read states arch support or a removable insole for these cleats, so we don’t call any of them good for flat feet.
- →All six cleats are molded. Little League’s help page says molded cleats are permissible and metal spikes are not, with different rules for the Intermediate, Junior and Senior divisions, but it is marked last updated six years ago.
- →New Balance’s and adidas’s sites returned access errors, so those cleats appear through Amazon listing text only.

What health sources say about children’s flat feet
The ages differ between sources, so we don’t state one. On treatment, the NHS says insoles won’t change the shape of the feet but can help with pain or stiffness. A Cochrane review of 16 trials with 1,058 children found low to very low certainty evidence on orthoses versus shoes, and found no supporting evidence for high-cost custom orthoses in healthy children with painless flexible flat feet. A 2023 meta-analysis said it could not conclude that foot orthoses are useful for flexible flatfoot in children and adults. See also Cleveland Clinic, Nottingham University Hospitals and AAPMR.
When to see a doctor
The NHS says to see a GP if the feet are painful, stiff, weak or numb, if the child often gets foot or ankle injuries, or if flat feet affect only one foot. None of the sources we read tests baseball cleats, so they say nothing about which cleat to choose.
For everyday shoes, the NHS says wide, comfortable shoes with a low heel are usually best. That is general advice about shoes, and the NHS page doesn’t mention baseball cleats. The Cochrane review pooled 16 randomized trials with 1,058 children aged 11 months to 19 years, and found that the effect of custom or prefabricated orthoses versus shoes on pain, function and quality of life was uncertain. Little League’s help page adds that in the Majors division and below, removable spikes or cleats are permitted if no metal remains exposed when they are removed.
⚠️ Watch out: This guide reports what sources and listings state. It is not medical advice, and no cleat here is described by its maker as made for flat feet.
What cleat makers state about arch and insoles

Metal or molded?
Little League’s help page says shoes with metal spikes or cleats are not permitted and shoes with molded cleats are permissible, with different rules for the Intermediate, Junior and Senior divisions. The page is marked last updated six years ago and we didn’t retrieve the rule text itself, so check your league’s rules. All six cleats here are molded.
Youth baseball cleats for flat feet: six molded cleats compared
The six cleats
1. Under Armour Leadoff Icon Low RM Jr: the lowest-priced Under Armour

Under Armour’s page lists $32, a synthetic upper with molded details, a full-length EVA midsole for underfoot cushioning, a rubber molded outsole and a regular fit. It doesn’t list the insole, whether it is removable, or an arch feature. The blue size 5 was $32.00. Each Amazon link is one size and color.
2. Under Armour Leadoff Icon Mid RM Jr: a mid-top collar

Amazon’s listing describes a mid-top ankle collar for added support and the same EVA midsole as the low. That is ankle wording, not arch wording. We didn’t read Under Armour’s page for the mid. The black size 3 was $37.00.
3. Under Armour Harper 11 RM Jr: the one with a forefoot cage

Under Armour’s page for one colorway at $50 lists a synthetic upper with a padded mesh tongue, a forefoot cage for added protection, a full-length EVA midsole and a rubber molded outsole, and says, in a Q&A answer on that colorway, that the spikes are TPU. It lists a regular fit and no insole or arch details. The green size 4 was $45.00 on Amazon on October 10, 2026.
4. New Balance 3000v8 Jnr: Amazon listing text only

New Balance’s site returned an access error, so this is the Amazon listing. It describes Fresh Foam midsole cushioning, a diamond-specific rubber molded plate and a lifestyle-inspired silhouette. It doesn’t mention the insole or an arch feature. The black and white size 7 Big Kid was $49.95, and Amazon also lists wide variants, such as a size 6 W Big Kid at $49.95.
5. adidas Adizero Impact 2.0 Molded Kids: the second-lowest price

adidas’s site returned an access error, so this is the Amazon listing. It describes lightweight synthetic uppers, an adjustable lace closure and a cleated rubber outsole, and says the adjustable laces provide a secure fit. It doesn’t mention the insole or an arch feature. The gray size 13 was $35.00 on October 10, 2026, and a black and white size 1 was also listed at $35.00 with low stock.
6. Mizuno Cushionrevo Diamond Jr: the highest price here

Mizuno’s page lists $60.00, sizes 1 to 5.5, a synthetic leather upper, Mizuno Enerzy foam for cushioning, and a solid rubber multi-stud outsole. It doesn’t list the insole or an arch feature. Amazon’s title says TPU spike, which Mizuno’s page text doesn’t. The white and navy youth size 4.5 was $55.00 on Amazon on October 10, 2026.
Also checked: Nike Diamond Clutch
Nike’s Diamond Clutch Big Kids page lists $40, a synthetic leather upper, a Fastflex outsole for flexibility, a softer midsole than the previous version, and sizes 13C to 7Y. It doesn’t mention an insole or an arch feature. The Amazon listing we found was from a third-party seller, not Amazon.com, so we don’t list it as a pick.
What to skip
Skip any listing or roundup that says a cleat is made for flat feet or gives proper alignment unless it names a maker or medical source, because none of the sources we read does. Skip metal cleats for league play until you’ve checked your league’s rules. And if a child has painful, stiff or weak feet, the NHS says to see a GP.

How we checked this guide
We read the NHS, Cleveland Clinic, Nottingham University Hospitals, AAPMR, Cochrane and 2023 meta-analysis pages, Under Armour’s, Mizuno’s and Nike’s cleat pages, Little League’s help page and Amazon’s product data, all on October 10, 2026. New Balance’s and adidas’s sites returned access errors, so we have only listing text for those. We did not test any cleat, so we don’t say how any of them fits. Prices and stock change daily.
Frequently asked questions
Are flat feet normal in kids, and do they outgrow them?
The NHS says most children have flat feet when they’re young and usually develop arches between 3 and 10 years of age. Cleveland Clinic says children with flat feet usually develop arches by about age 10, and the AAPMR says most develop normal arches by age 5 to 6. The sources give different ages. Nottingham University Hospitals calls flexible flat feet a normal variant.
Do baseball cleats have arch support?
None of the maker pages we could read states arch support for a youth baseball cleat. The Under Armour, Mizuno and Nike pages list midsole, outsole and upper materials, and none lists an arch feature or a removable insole. New Balance’s and adidas’s sites returned an access error.
Do insoles or arch supports fix flat feet in kids?
The NHS says insoles won’t change the shape of the feet but can help with things like pain or stiffness. Nottingham University Hospitals says arch supports don’t alter the way the foot develops. A 2022 Cochrane review of orthoses for children’s flat feet found low to very low certainty evidence, and a 2023 meta-analysis said it could not conclude that foot orthoses are useful for flexible flatfoot in children and adults.
Can a child wear an orthotic in baseball cleats, and is the insole removable?
We can’t say for these models. None of the maker pages or Amazon listings we read states whether the insole is removable. Check the listing or ask the seller before you buy if that matters to you.
When should a child with flat feet see a doctor?
The NHS says to see a GP if the feet are painful, stiff, weak or numb, if the child often gets foot or ankle injuries, or if it only affects one foot. This guide isn’t medical advice.
Are metal cleats allowed in Little League?
Little League’s help page says shoes with metal spikes or cleats are not permitted and shoes with molded cleats are permissible, with other rules for the Intermediate, Junior and Senior divisions. The page was marked last updated six years ago, so check your league’s current rules. All six cleats here are molded.
Should a child with flat feet choose a low or a mid cleat?
We found no source that answers this. The Under Armour Leadoff Icon Mid listing describes a mid-top ankle collar for added support, which is about the ankle, not the arch.
What sizes do youth cleats come in, and why are the Amazon links one size each?
Mizuno’s page lists the Cushionrevo Diamond Jr in sizes 1 to 5.5. Each Amazon listing here is one size and color, with width shown where the seller lists one, so the price and stock belong to that variant.
